Dr. Angelo Subida, along with four others, were graduated as new CERTIFIED CHESS ARBITERS by the National Chess Academy and the Philippine Academy for Chess Excellence (Home of Filipino Grandmasters run by Grandmaster Jayzon Gonzalez) last December 2010 in Quezon City. Instructors were FIDE International Arbiter Gene Poliarco, FIDE International Arbiter and National Master Elias Lao Jr., and Boyet Tacorda, director of the National Association of Philippine Chess Arbiters.
